Infoblox DDI consulting and training
I’ve worked with Infoblox from every angle: selling it, installing it, teaching it, migrating enterprises onto it and, most recently, automating it with Terraform. At Infoblox I was SE Manager for the Western US, building the team from scratch while carrying my own deals. I later ran DeepDive Networking, a services firm that did nothing but Infoblox, and taught Infoblox’s official curriculum as a contracted instructor.
What I help with
Grid design. Grid Master and candidate placement, member roles, HA pairs, and how DNS, DHCP and reporting should be split across appliances or virtual members.
Health checks. A review of an existing grid: DNS views and zones, DHCP ranges and failover, IPAM accuracy, upgrades, and the configuration debt that accumulates over years.
DNS and DHCP troubleshooting. Resolution failures, DHCP failover problems, scope exhaustion and replication issues.
Migrations onto Infoblox. From Microsoft DNS and DHCP, BIND and ISC DHCP. See DNS migration to Infoblox.
Automation. Terraform and the WAPI for IPAM and DNS records, so servers and networks get addresses and names without tickets.
Training. On-site or remote training for your DNS and network teams, either standalone or as part of a migration, so your staff can run the grid confidently after I leave.
