Juniper Apstra and EVPN-VXLAN fabric consulting
I spent nearly four years on the Apstra team at Juniper, where I co-developed the Terraform provider for Apstra and a Go SDK for its REST API. Since then I’ve used those same tools to build a production EVPN-VXLAN fabric from an empty data hall.
What I help with
Fabric design. Three-stage and five-stage leaf and spine designs, edge-routed bridging versus centrally routed bridging, rack types and templates, and sizing for the workloads you actually run.
Apstra blueprints. Building blueprints, logical devices, interface maps, routing zones and virtual networks, and structuring them so day-two changes stay simple.
Terraform for Apstra. Defining the whole fabric as code: blueprint, resources, virtual networks and connectivity templates, stored in Git and applied through a pipeline. I know the provider from the inside, including its quirks.
Existing Apstra deployments. Fixing anomalies, cleaning up blueprints that have drifted, upgrading Apstra, and adding automation to a fabric that was built by hand in the GUI.
Knowledge transfer. Getting your team comfortable running the fabric and the Terraform code after I leave.
